Fumair Ltd

Fumair has been an industry leading manufacturer of laboratory fume cupboards and fume extraction systems for the past 40 years. They offer design, manufacture and installation services & support to customers throughout the UK and Ireland.

They are preferred suppliers to blue-chip organisations such as Oxford University, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Glaxo Smithkline and the Medical Research Council, as well as many other well known medical research organisations.

Fumair’s head office in Hertfordshire needed a simple solution to their office document needs that allowed staff to print a variety of document types, from simple black and white text documents through to colour coded A3 schematic CAD drawings used to plan installations, and pin sharp colour photograph quality prints used to show actual space available for the installation and routing of duct work.

A scan solution was also required to allow hardcopy documents of projects to be digitised to their IT system. This would give staff easy access to project documents in the office or at a customer site.

Our solution was to install a networked colour multifunctional device with multiple paper trays to accommodate the various media types they use, with a high speed document feeder to allow staff to scan documents either to an FTP server, computer or to an email address.

This solution allows staff full access to project documents from their laptops when they need them, saving time and cost that Fumair are able to pass onto their customers.
